Knockburn Loch is the ideal school activity day venue.
Located a couple of miles outside Banchory we have a secure and safe site for all children and visitors.

A typical day would start around 9.00am-9.30am depending on what time your school transport would arrive at Knockburn Loch.

Once everyone is off of the bus its time for a site walk around and familiarisation with the children, this is the point we discuss the site boundary, topographic and nature aspect to Knockburn Loch.

After our walk we have short snack break and then it’s time to get into the wetsuits and buoyancy aids. This is followed by a safety brief prior to getting onto the water.

The water side of activities is where we excel and where the enjoyment is for most children. We tend to get on the Super Jumbo SUP’s first, each Jumbo SUP holds around 15-20 children depending on the size of the children. After the fun and hilarity of the Jumbos it's onto the solo or paired SUP boards, if that wasn’t enough, we have all the single and paired kayaks available for the children to use.
We try and stay on the water as much as possible and plan the day based on the group that arrives and the weather on the day.

We also have options for land based activities, these include soft archery, volleyball, the rotating climbing wall, sports day, orienteering, basketball, shelter building & bush craft, slacklines and so much more.

Depending on the day we will be off the water around 12.30pm/ 1.00pm and then its time to change and have lunch. Children are required to bring all snacks and lunch with them.

The final part of the day is taken up with land-based activities until it’s time for the bus to head back to school. Departure time is very flexible, and we will work around your time scale, generally the buses depart between 2.30pm and 3.30pm
 

The cost per head is £45 plus VAT
 

Children are required to bring a towel, and old pair or trainers of neoprene shoes that can be worn on the water. Children need to bring a swimming costume to wear under the supplied wetsuits, if children have their own wetsuit, they can bring these if they wish.
 

Once we have received an activity request, we will confirm a date with you and send you a booking form. The booking form is to be returned with a PO from the school.
